FAMILY CONSTELLATIONS
WORKSHOP
DESCRIPTION:
Family Constellations work is a systemic approach to therapy in groups developed by Bert Hellinger. It pays attention to the family system of the person working rather than focusing attention only on the person. If one element in the constellation is moving, the energy affects the whole family system that will seek a healthy balance. Also, the work of one person working affects the energy of the group participating in the workshop because many of the issues of the client touch similar issues of other group members.
FACILITATOR:
Margarete Koening has worked for twenty five years in the therapeutic fields. She is a senior trainer for various Gestalt Institutes as well as providing supervision for gestalt students and therapists. She trained in Family Constellation work with Victor Chu and Robert Langlotz in 1999. Margaret’s diverse training and experience includes being a service provider for North Coast Aboriginal Corporation and a supervisor for Lifeline. Currently she runs Family Constellation training in NZ and Australia. Since 1992 she has run her own practice on the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
METHODOLOGY:
The workshop is presented in a group situation with the facilitator supporting the many processes that emerge when a person volunteers to work. The approach is gestalt-systemic and process oriented.
