Learn Symbolic Expression Through the Trauma Tree
Explore emotions indirectly through tree symbolism, allowing a safe, non-verbal approach to emotional processing.
Understand how to use the Trauma Tree as a humanistic tool to foster healing.
Understand Color Therapy and Symbolism
Gain insights into how colors influence emotions and their universal and personal meanings.
Support clients in using color as a means of emotional ventilation and self-awareness.
Integrate Gestalt Therapy Techniques
Learn how to guide clients through holistic emotional exploration (mind, body, spirit) using Gestalt Therapy principles using Art.
Understand and experience the Empty Chair technique to address internal conflicts and integrate emotional insights.
Support Clients in Symbol Integration
Help clients identify symbols and their meanings within their artwork.
Facilitate the integration of these symbols with emotional and psychological experiences for deeper understanding and healing.

- Internet connection, a computer, tablet, or phone, with access to a webcam and microphone.
- Have the Zoom program or APP installed and be registered
- One A4 Paper to write and/or draw
- A pen, coloured markers, acrylics or crayons.
- Once the registration is paid, we will send you the Zoom link for the workshop connection.

Purpose and Scope of the Workshop
The objective of The Trauma Tree workshop is to provide training and learning in tools and techniques from Gestalt Art Therapy, including symbolic and creative methods such as the Trauma Tree and Empty Chair technique. It is important to note that this workshop is not designed for personal therapeutic work or for processing individual trauma.
Participants will explore methods in a safe, structured, and professional environment, focusing on how these techniques can be applied in their practice or personal exploration without engaging in deep emotional work or therapy sessions.
Participant Conditions and Limits.
Emotional Wellbeing Support:
The workshop involves creative activities and reflective discussions that may evoke emotions related to trauma or personal experiences.
Participants are encouraged to remain within their comfort zone and are reminded that this is a training session, not a space for therapy.
If you feel overwhelmed or require immediate support during or after the workshop, please prioritize your wellbeing by:

Managing Emotions During the Workshop:
Engage in the activities at a level you feel comfortable with. There is no expectation to share deeply personal or traumatic details.
If an activity feels emotionally challenging, you can step back, pause, or take time to reflect.
The facilitator will create a safe and supportive environment and provide guidance to ensure activities remain manageable for all participants.
Privacy and Recording:
The workshop will be recorded, providing current and future participants the opportunity to revisit the content and activities at their convenience. Participants will have online access to the recording for six months from the date of the workshop
